Pakistani cinema is definitely going through one of its most exciting phases with so many new teasers, trailers and songs coming up for films releasing this summer. Also, how amazing is it that we now have all kinds of genres being attempted in Pakistan. Kudos to the industry for marching on!

One of the projects that we have been really looking forward to is 7 Din Mohabbat In starring our favourite Queen Bee Mahira Khan and the very handsome Sheheryar Munawar in lead roles. The teaser for the film that also has Mira Sethi and Amna Ilyas playing supporting characters, has just come out and we have to say, we are kinda on the fence with this one.

7 Din Mohabbat In, is a comedy romantic tale about a young man’s quest to find his true love in a crowded Karachi neighborhood, and the obstacles, both spiritual and physical, that he must overcome in order to achieve his goals.

While it would be super interesting to finally watch Mahira Khan break away from her ‘girl next door’ image with her sassy new avatar as what seem to be a bit of a love guru, overall the teaser does look like it’s bits and pieces of stuff we have already seen before.

But in Meenu Farjad and Mahira Khan we trust, so here’s hoping the trailer will be much more enticing!

p.s. we caught a glimpse of an item song – can we just do away with those please? SO passé, seriously!
