Even Paolo Coelho is a fan of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘My Name is Khan’!
Paolo Coelho, famous authour of books such as ‘The Alchemist’, revealed that he is a fan of the 2009 movie, ‘My Name is Khan’. Paolo Coelho termed it as the best movie he’s seen this year, adding that he has had to wait 6 years for to watch the film. The esteemed author also stressed on the need for international films to get a wider release in Europe!
Director Karan Johar, who received much critical acclaim for the film, thanked Mr Coelho, saying that his appreciation was an honour for Johar.
The Shah Rukh Khan starrer told the story of a Muslim with Asperger’s Syndrome who travels across the US trying to meet the US President. The film dealt with negative perception of Muslims in the wake of the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington DC.
Shah Rukh Khan himself also took to twitter to thank Coelho and offered to personally get all dvds sent to the author so that he can watch them without having to wait for years!
Khan went a step forward by quoting Coelho and saying that he too follows the same ideology of love!
It seems like that just like music, cinema too has no barriers!
