5 reasons you need to watch Coke Studio Episode 1 NOW!

The first episode of Coke Studio Season 10 is out and here are our top 5 reasons you should watch it.Coke Studio is back: One of Pakistan’s best loved shows not only in Pakistan but also around the world. It’s that time of the year when reading comments from India, Nepal, Bangladesh and even non-Urdu speakers will become such a joy -truly music has no boundaries ❤

When two of Pakistan’s best vocalists perform together: Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan and Ahmed Jehanzeb are both known and loved for their strong singing and their opening act for season 10 is a treat for all music listeners.

Hina Nasrullah’s Coke Studio debut: Hina Nasrullah has been one of the most popular singers / naat khawans on PTV for the better part of a decade and it was just so beautiful to listen to Chaa Rahi Kaali Ghata with her and Amanat Ali. The way they supported each other and performed their respective parts, makes us want to listen to the song again and again. Special mention to Sahir Ali Bagga’s melodious composition!

Ali Sethi’s trubite to the legendary Mehdi Hasan: Ali Sethi has brought fresh life into the art of ghazal singing and how. The trained new age classical singer, dressed in a rather fetching Dolce and Gabbana sequined suit, paid a heartfelt tribute to the maestro Mehdi Hasan with ‘Ranjish Hi Sahi’. We are already predicting that Sethi’s rendition, in his velvety voice, will be on repeat!

Momina Mustehsan and Danyal Zafar’s Muntazir: Coke Studio’s original sweetheart, Momina Mustehsan is back this season after becoming a national obsession post last season’s Afreen Afreen. In her first song from the season, she pairs up with Danyal Zafar, who by the way looks SO much like his elder brother Ali Zafar. We hear that Danyal and Momina share a great friendship and that totally translated in their performance. We LOVED the chemistry between the two and would definitely like to see them collaborate on more songs in the future!
